Decorative Mirrors

Author: Ken Marlborough

Like a camera, mirrors catch the magic moments of your life and reflect the beauty of the objects of beauty. You might not be surprised to know, mirrors can attract as much attention in your personal space as your lipstick shade in a boisterous exuberance of a kitty party. It can add character to a puzzled looking comfort zone of your home or office.

Make it a coffee tabletop or hang it above the fireplace, a mirror never fails to give any corner a distinct identity giving the looker a deeper insight making a space statement. Be it the making the entryways grand or utilizing them for a division between two rooms they are one of the most functional decorative objects which are as affordable as exquisite. They are known to give a true representation of whoever or whatever is in view but can surely fool the eye and make the space look much larger than its actual size.

Mirrors can be as imperial or majestic as basic. Heard of the Palace of Mirrors in India? You will find the number of them for instance, Sheesh Mahal(mirror fort) in Patiala's Old Moti Bagh Palace and Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors in Jaipur. While Gujrat is famous for its mirror work on textiles and handlooms, small mirrors are also directly put on the walls of the Rajasthans countryside houses.

Use them in kitchen, gym, bathroom, bedroom, bar, doors you will always find similarities between magic and mirrors. With frames ranging from finished wood, metal, bamboo, stained glass, heavily carved and embellished with natural-looking leaves and flowers, jewel stones, bits of marble and colored glass, I am sure you cant wait to call your glass fabricator. Purchase molly bolts or hooks, but always make sure that they reflect something as out of the ordinary as they are in themselves.
